LCRD

NASA’s Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD) is built and managed at the Goddard Space Flight Center Facility and is known as the next step in optical communications. This technology will utilize infrared lasers to send data to and from space and will allow for scientists to collect more data and further explore the universe by advancing the methods used to communicate.

JPSS

The Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) is a polar-orbiting operational satellite system, led by interagency efforts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The satellites are the cornerstone of the global observing system, crossing the equator and the poles about fourteen times daily which assists with forecasting weather and monitoring potential environmental hazards.

X3M Impact

JWST

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is an orbiting infrared observatory that will expand the discoveries of the Hubble Space Telescope with its improved sensitivity and longer wavelength coverage.

JWST will be the largest and most powerful space telescope launched into space and will have the capability to fundamentally alter our understanding of the universe and the beginning of time.
